Clean water for Shamanjanji Village

Kafue, Zambia · a community of 1,500 people

A child carrying a water bucket through Shamanjanji Village, KafueA resident of Shamanjanji beside the community's current water source

In Shamanjanji, women and children walk long distances every day to fetch water that is often unsafe to drink. Children miss school because collecting water comes first, and mothers lose hours they could spend earning a living or caring for their families.

A borehole has already been sunk. This campaign equips it and turns it into a working water point the whole village can use. You can help finish it, and offset your own travel water footprint while you do.
